The Lifestyle Club
TLC offers two diet and lifestyle education programmes — TLC Diabetes and TLC Wellbeing – designed to empower people to take an active role in their health and wellbeing. Each consists of an 8-week course with ongoing support options to help participants develop the confidence, skills and knowledge to make lasting lifestyle changes and improve their health.

How Does TLC Work?
8-Week Online Course
- DURATION: 8 × 90 min sessions on the same day/time each week
- DELIVERY: by a trained Health Coach via Zoom or MS Teams
- GROUP SIZE: small groups of 6–12 participants
- ACCOMPANYING RESOURCES: printed 100-page handbook & optional WhatsApp group for peer-to-peer support
- ACCESS REQUIREMENTS: Able to understand English & use email/video conferencing software, with access to the internet via a desktop or mobile device. Every effort is made to support those with special educational needs & disabilities.

The 8 session titles are the same for both TLC Diabetes & TLC Wellbeing, but session topics & discussion are tailored to either diabetes or wellbeing

Important Considerations
- It is recommended that those with complex health issues discuss suitability for TLC with their healthcare team
- Participants taking certain diabetes or blood pressure medications may be advised to contact their healthcare team before reducing their carbohydrates
- For people struggling to lose weight, TLC offers a sustainable alternative to starting GLP-1s but can also be used in combination with GLP-1s to bring benefits beyond maximising weight loss
